Yeti SB6

If anyone if going to make one of the best mountain bikes you'll ever ride, it's going to be Yeti. Yeti Cycles was founded in 1985 by John Parker. Due to their amazing quality frames, Yeti soon had a cult following, this clut has now grown into the Yeti Tribe, who hold an annual events all over the globe. Yeti bikes were soon being bought by anyone that knew about bikes, even Chris King owned a Yeti (well actually he still does). Yeti not only make legendary bikes, they have also spawned legendary riders, from John Tomac and Missy Giove to the latest greats - Jared Graves and Richie Rude.

Yeti don't build 1000's of Bikes, no Hybrids, Road Bikes, Electric Bikes, City Bikes etc etc, Yeti have dedicate all their time making the best mountain bikes with only a handful of models in their range. The Yeti SB6 is a shinning example of their focus and dedication. The SB6's rear suspension uses their own Switch Technology, which makes the SB6 is one of the best climbers in it's class, yes despite there being little bob in the suspension climbing, point it downhill and the Switch Technology comes active, gripping to everything keeping you glued to the trail.

The SB6 - The exact same frame that Yeti's EWS and National Team riders rally on enduro tracks around the world

WHAT YETI SAY
The SB6 Turq Series Frame is 6.05 lbs (2.74 KG) Made With the Highest quality carbon fibre available. This is possibly the best frame ever produced by Yeti. The exact same frame that Yeti's EWS and National Team riders rally on enduro tracks around the world. Thanks to innovations in carbon technology, Yeti are able to switch up their layups, drop 265 grams and keep the same stiffness in their carbon frames. When you’re looking to win World Championships, every gram counts.

The SB6 is tested under heightened frame requirements to withstand more abuse. What does this mean? Well it is tested to stiffness and impact levels of downhill bike standards. Along with the testing in the lab the SB6 has been ridden to victory on the toughest Enduro race courses in the world. This thing is Richie Rude frigging approved.‚Äč

WHAT WE SAY
The first thing you notice about the SB6 is it's stability, you can nail this bike across, off and over things you wouldn't normally feel as comfortable doing, the next thing is your Strava times, yep I'm that sure your get KOM's on it. Climbing, oh you only need to talk to store manager Richard Moir about how I beat him up a very muddy hill easly on the SB6 while he was on a lighter hardtail and he was/is without doubt loads fitter than me. For 2017 the frame has lost around 400g and after once again being the winning bike of the 2016 Worlds Enduro Series, we have to make this the Ubyk Bike of the Month.
